How your
assessment works

Why go through
an assessment?

Going through an assessment center may sound stressful, but in reality it means your current or future employer sees potential in you and wants to invest in it. It’s an opportunity to show who you are. We genuinely look at who you are and what suits you professionally.

An assessment provides a clear overview of your strengths and development areas. The results can help you grow in a focused way or take the next steps in your career. We use both objective tests and recognisable real-life simulations. Combining these exercises has strong predictive value for your actual behaviour in a new professional context.

How does
an assessment work?

Kandidaten

An assessment will be scheduled in consultation with you.

Via email, you will receive information about the content, the date, the location, and the hours of the assessment. You will have either a half-day or a full-day assessment, face-to-face or virtual.

Should there be any remaining uncertainties, there is always the possibility to request additional information in advance via email or telephone.

You will visit for your assessment center or participate in your virtual assessment center

In addition to a number of exercises, the focus is on interactions with the assessors. These may include interviews, presentations, or role plays.

You perform preparatory tests at home (optional)

Sometimes you are asked to complete certain tests at home on the computer. You will receive these via email and must complete them before visiting our office or participating in the virtual session.

Possibility for follow-up and feedback regarding your assessment.

After the conclusion of the internal procedure, you can always contact us to schedule a feedback session. We will schedule a time for this to go through the results and share your strengths and development areas, followed by any potential tips.

Preparation of your assessment center report

After we prepare and send your report, the organisation you applied to will handle the follow-up. This may take the form of written reporting or verbal feedback.

Frequently Asked
Questions

In this FAQ you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our operations, approach and practical arrangements. This way you quickly get a clear overview without having to search.

Absolutely! Although it is not mandatory, you can always take a few practice tests on websites such as Cebir, SHL, Korn Ferry, Jobat or VDAB. It is especially important that you start an assessment well rested, as it requires a good level of focus.

You do not need to arrange lunch yourself; we are happy to provide a sandwich lunch for you. You will also have the opportunity to take a walk in our beautiful green surroundings during the break. This allows you to recharge before starting the second part of the assessment.

We generally store your results for a maximum of 5 years after the assessment. For this purpose, you will be asked to sign a GDPR document that we provide upon your arrival at the assessment. In this document you can indicate which statements you agree or disagree with. More information can be found on the EU GDPR website and via our federation Federgon.

After the internal procedure has been completed, you can always contact us to schedule a feedback meeting.

If you are coming by car, you can park close to our office. A parking ticket for a full day costs six euros and can be paid by bank card. You can also park for free at our parking area on Martelaarslaan. The route description will be sent to you in advance by email. Reaching us by public transport is also very easy. From Ghent Sint-Pieters station, tram T1 (platform 2) and T3 (platform 20) will take you to Orpsy. Get off at the Bijlokehof stop and you will be just a short walk from our office.
